I am Amna, a Melbourne based practising artist/printmaker/illustrator, art teacher and blogger. Apart from teaching art, I have been exhibiting my work on and off since 2006 but became more regular since 2010.
Over the years I have been involved in various things/projects. I was a project manager for a non-profit organisation for over three years, human rights and specially women’s right is something I am passionate about. Only recently I am able to translate that passion into my artwork. I have also taught art and design at college level, held workshops for art students, journalists, and survivors of domestic abuse. I illustrated two children books for Save the Children (non-profit organisation), and volunteer as a tutor for refugees women here in Melbourne.
I plan to remain active in my local community by initiating a community based art project.
My interests are varied but mostly stem from my passion for arts..so interior designing, cooking, books, music, textile, vintage stuff.. all fascinate and inspire me.
Through this blog I intent to share my artwork, lesson ideas, recipes, adventures in interior designing, and basically everything that catches my eyes and grab my attention.
